Overview
Of Arabic/Italian origin, Gorja was raised in Rome and educated in London, Paris and the US.
She is trilingual English/Italian/French and holds a BA Hons in Banking & International Finance from City University. She is also a graduate of SOAS, La Sorbonne, Paris and Harvard University, where she pursued her passion for Languages and Mathematics. Albeit an unconventional path towards Acting, including experience in Hotel Management, Fashion and Art, Gorja has been working in Film and TV since 2010 and is a private student of renowned acting coach Susan Batson in New York. Following her decision to remain a UK-based actress, she has since returned to London and recently completed shooting in Italy alongside Juliette Binoche as well as playing guest lead on the BBC Drama Doctors. Her upcoming projects include a feature film with Ray Winstone to start filming in September, and Martha Fiennes' next SLOImage project entitled What Ghosts alongside Julien Sands. She is also an Executive Producer on Tulip Fever. Gorja is a keen environmentalist, a longtime advocate of Animal Welfare, and has worked closely with UNESCO and its Goodwill Ambassadors.
