Overview
Tara is an actor, producer and a devoted Mum! She has acted in about 15 films, some of which like Page 3, Masti and Khosla Ka Ghosla have been big hits in India. She ‘s also done several ads. Tara and her husband Roopak have 2 kids and when they were born she started writing a non patronising parenting blog (www.tarasharmashow.com) and successfully turned it into a multi platform show which she has conceptualized, hosts and co-produces with her husband Roopak’s company www.the120mediacollective.com . Her show, ‘The Tara Sharma Show’ has had 3 successful seasons on TV, and airs on India’s foremost English language channel, Star World and on her YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/tarasharmashow and is getting wonderful response. Work on Season 4 has begun and it should be on air soon. Before moving back home to Bombay, India, Tara did a summer course at LAMDA and played Juliet in a production of Romeo and Juliet for the Birmingham Stage Company, at the Birmingham Old Rep, and got great reviews. She was also on an episode of The Bill. And more recently she played a role in Hollywood film ‘The Other end of the Line’ and a small cameo in the Disney Film ‘Million Dollar Arm’. Being half Indian and half English, Tara enjoys working in India and doing international projects too. An alumni of BIS, UWC and LSE Tara worked at Accenture before following her passion to act and create in the entertainment world.
