Overview
Charlotte trained at LAMDA, and the St Petersburg School of Dramatic Art in Russia. She speaks Russian, a little French, and has acted in both. She will shortly be appearing in Apple TV and Jackson River Film's forthcoming TV series Slow Horses. Prior to this, she appeared in the feature film Country of Hotels, directed by Julio Maria Martino and last year played a guest lead in Vera for ITV. Historical TV work includes Fortitude (Sky Atlantic), Guerrilla (Fifty Fathoms), Luther, Silent Witness, A Single Father, EastEnders, Holby City (BBC), and Spooks (Kudos Productions). She began her theatre career in the excellent drama society of the University of Manchester, touring with several successful productions to Edinburgh, Vienna and Milan. After LAMDA, she joined the National Theatre appearing in Burnt by the Sun and Philistines, both directed by Howard Davies. Other theatre work has been with Menagerie Theatre Company in Cambridge, Torben Betts’ play Muswell Hill at the Park Theatre, David Hauptschein's The Playactor and Stephen Berkoff's Kvetch (Manchester and on tour), Lullabies of Broadmoor and Masks and Faces, both directed by Caitriona Maclaughlin at the Finborough Theatre. Charlotte is also a translator, and has translated several major Russian plays for various theatres including the National Theatre, the Almeida, the Young Vic, and the Arcola.
