Overview

A performer of mixed heritage (English, Irish and Caribbean), Nye grew up in Sussex where his love for the Forests have inspired and shaped him as an artist. Coming from a family with a love for radio, he has a keen ear for voices and accents which has become a major skill throughout his training at the Oxford School of Drama, graduating in 2023. Since graduating, he made his television debut as Nigel Rivers in Grantchester, and can currently be seen opposite Matt Smith in The Death of Bunny Munro on Sky Atlantic. Next year he will star in season four of the BAFTA-winning BBC/HBO series Industry. Nye also made his film debut recently, as Salomon in World War II drama Truth & Treason, made by Angel Studios. He is currently playing the young male lead, Simon Doyle, in a No. 1 UK Tour of Agatha Christie’s beloved story Death on the Nile until May 2026. As well as being an actor, he’s also become an accomplished maker and director, as well as a passionate musician – with over a decade of experience on clarinet, he’s played all over Sussex. As a writer, he has a love for poetry and has written plays for theatre and radio. He also – being a guy of many talents! – trained in a Michelin Star hotel, spending many years in the kitchen before finding his home on the stage.
