Overview
A performer of mixed heritage (English, Irish and Caribbean), Nye grew up in Sussex where his love for the Forests have inspired and shaped him as an artist. He grew up camping, exploring and playing in the trees – where he found his love for food and stories. As a young actor, Nye worked with local theatre companies, playing in barns and also a yurt. Coming from a family with a love for radio, he has a keen ear for voices and accents which has become a major skill throughout his training at the Oxford School of Drama. He first completed the Foundation course there before going on to complete the Three Year course straight after – graduating in 2023. As well as being an actor, he’s also become an accomplished maker and director, as well as a passionate musician – with over a decade of experience on clarinet, he’s played all over Sussex. As a writer, he has a love for poetry and has written plays for theatre and radio. He also – being a guy of many talents! – trained in a Michelin Star hotel, spending many years in the kitchen before finding his home on the stage.
