Overview

Theo started acting at eight years old. He was a member of both the National Youth Theatre and the National Youth Music Theatre, before attending Guildhall School of Music and Drama. A seasoned actor of stage and screen, he’s appeared in numerous esteemed productions, treading the boards of the National Theatre, Royal Court, Royal Shakespeare Company and the Tricycle Theatre (now the Kiln) amongst many others. 2022 saw him lead the cast as George in A Single Man at the Park Theatre, to great acclaim. On the small screen, just a few of his credits include Keen Eddie (a comedy drama for Paramount and Fox), British drama staples Grantchester and Victoria, award-winning comedies My Family and The Thick of It, and The Visitor opposite a pre-Bond Daniel Craig. Most recently though, audiences globally will have seen him as Sir Timothy Laurence in series five of The Crown, and he’s soon set to return to filming for series six. The Golden Compass, Before You Go, Mad About Mambo and the Oscar-nominated Mrs Brown are a selection of his film credits, and he has also himself written a movie in Hollywood. Theo’s first original stage play, Talon, was championed by Tom Morris and produced at Bristol Old Vic, directed by Miranda Cromwell. Away from the world of acting, Theo has worked as a chef, a butcher and owned the award-winning East London Delicatessen, The Deli Downstairs for 10 years.
