Overview
Abigail gained First Class Honours in Contemporary Arts at Nottingham University, majoring in Performance & Visual Art. After appearing with The National Youth Theatre, she started her professional career in physical theatre working with The David Gale Ensemble and Volcano Theatre Company touring internationally with leading roles in I Am Dandy, Private Lives and Stage an Execution.
Other theatre includes: Dennis Kelly's Taking Care of Baby, as lead Donna McAuliffe (Hampstead Theatre/Birmingham Rep); Tilt Triple Bill (Traverse); Separate Tables (Royal Exchange, Manchester); Almost Blue (Riverside Studios); and award-winning lead performances in David Greig's San Diego and Standing Wave (both for The Tron, Glasgow). Television includes: The Missing; Paradox (series regular); Holby City; Casualty; Doctors; Dead Clever; Mayo; H.G.Wells-A Life In Pictures; and Blitz as lead heroine Vi Regan. Radio includes: Life of Penguins; Words & Music; Beneath the Skin. Abigail is currently studying to become a British Sign Language interpreter.
