Overview
A New Yorker by birth, Sammy was raised in London, studying Languages at Manchester University before returning home to train as an actor at LAMDA. On graduating she became a member of the Old Vic New Voices company which has seen her work with some of the UK's most exciting young writers and directors on a number of productions. These include new writing at the Old Vic Tunnels, Oval House, Pleasance, Finborough, and Soho Theatres, as well as The Vineyard Theatre, New York, as part of the T.S. Eliot Exchange. Sammy has appeared in Silent Witness for the BBC and on film in Nest Egg for M&L Productions. She recently completed a six month stint with the pioneering immersive theatre company Punchdrunk, and has just performed her own monologue By George in a gold caravan at Bankside as part of the Merge Arts Festival. When not acting, Sammy is busy renovating her Dutch barge, Vertouwen, and writing about it in her blog www.livingitbarge.com
